Having years of experience with Acer, that was a no brainer. They make a great machine. Small foot print & quiet drive. You won't hear it run unlike a HP Compact that ramps the hard drive up like a jet fighter. System is not expandable but I did Max the Ram from 4 to 8GB, recommended. If you wish to expand, go external for ''what ever'' as I did. Every thing works great. Lots of USB ports. Great value. I can not think of any bad thing to say. Have been using this daily now for about 6 months. After researching for a new computer for a month, I bought this. Would I do it again? You bet. Unless you are doing some very highly specialized applications, this will solve all your problems very nicely. Best bang for the buck!

This is a great PC to stream online content and TV onto your flat screen thanks to the HDMI port. Netflix streams beautifully. There are so many streaming TV channels from across the world that are available that we decided to ditch cable TV. Given the $60/month for cable and the [$] price we paid for this unit [...], we'll be ahead in 8 months.[...]Also, I keep it horizontal on the TV console since it is compact. The video card seems to have enough juice where it will not be obsolete as more heavier demands are put on it in the next year or so.I love the fact that it is super quiet and does not have a loud humming noise which is an annoyance when watching TV on many other PCs, and especially when streaming from laptops.

While has the slots to exspand i must note. The cpu is slender. Read demensions carefully. It will not fit standard size video card but there are many that will fit. I also had to slide out the CD rom Drive to access the empty 2 Ram slots but with new GT 220 Video card and 2 more 2 gig ram sticks Totaling 8 gigs. For about 120$ more in cash. This CPU rocks. I have been Using Xp for so long i will have to get used to win 7 but CPU runs so good, i will have fun doing it. Nice CPu even with out upgradeing. The Tbyte ROM and E5! Processor makes this a good buy at [$] this a great buy.

I use my computer mostly for browsing the internet, storing my pictures, paying my bills, and once a week I work from home by logging on to the company server. This little desktop is easy to use, quite fast and serves me well. I'm not a gamer, nor do I download movies, so I wasn't looking for lightning speed. I like the small size and many USB slots.

I am an avid computer user and lover, and I figured it was finally time to bite the bullet and pick up a new tower. I didn't like the how our previous computer was running and my wife didn't like the way the desk was laid out with all my 'computer junk'. I decided a powerful, yt small form factor like this one would satisfy us both. So far I love it. The size fits well in my configuration, the performance is great and the price was well worth it. I do miss having a computer with more expansion bays, but I guess that is the trade off. The one upgrade I did feel was necessary was upgrading the 4GB of RAM to 8GB of RAM. The small form factor did make it more difficult to install, but do not be discouraged, it was well worth my efforts.

Very compact lightweight for a desk top. Loads of storage for pictures and docs and runs super quite. Sure beats my last computer (which was 8 years old). Glad I had carbonite to transfer my files however, this machine was loaded with a microsoft transfer software which I did not need.

Have had this computer since April and really like it. Set up easy, everything worked great. I have the same problem with WIN7, where applications I've tried to use (Cell Phone programs) are not supported because they are not compatible with the newer OS. Wasn't expecting these types of problems. One downfall I've had is my audio, where different YouTube or WMPs I've tried to listen to are very silent or garbled. Don't know if it is the audio card or corruption in the drivers somehow. Sometimes the sound works just fine. All in all, I found this PC to be a great deal too.

I searched extensively for a computer to use as a home theater pc. I tried a couple others, including an E-Machines and WDTV-LIVE PLUS. This Acer is small enough to put in the living room in the home theater cabinet. It's super quiet. You can barely hear it, even when the whole house is asleep. I use it to play 1080p movies on my 50 inch Panasonic plasma. Smooth. Fast. Flawless. Got a mini-wireless keyboard to use with it and XBMC and I'll never go to another movie theater again.

Can't beat this value. Lot's of features for the price. I've purchased 3 of these for clients and they perform very well. The second monitor output being HDMI is awesome. I purchased the online upgrade to Pro version OS for about $78 and it's now a perfect business solution for client software.

No issues so far, this machine will be used lightly for recording (cuebase) and some basic audio playback. Should fit the bill quite nicely. The side loading disc drive worked out well for our purposes, but may not work out for your situation.
