Everything I expected and more. An amazingly high-end product for it's price. Certainly a great camera for someone who is looking to take some more serious photos on a budget. And the High speed video is certainly a lot of fun to play with.

I Bought this camera one month a go just for make slowmotion videos on my trainning Archery. The videos on 240 fps was pretty great with smoth and nice stabilization for the 520 mm (23.2 x optical zoom). Two thinks should be said here:1) When you already recording a video you can NOT use the zoom lens during the video. To do that, you need to stop recording, adjust the lens and start the video again (this is not so good for me).2) When you "enable zoom on video" the camera automaticly turn off the audio. Firt maybe make sense because if you are recording somethink very far why able the audio? The answer is you might want to tell something (narrate) and why this simple function it is not possible. This problem occur on HS and Normal videos. The photos was great and you can adjust the size simple and quickly to the size Raw, 10, 3:2 (10 Mb based), 16:9 (10Mb based), 7 Mb, 4Mb, 2 Mb and VGA.The camera is very simple, minimum buttons, nice and large 3" LCD and when you are recording drains battery pretty fast. I recommed 12 Rechargeable, 4 for the camera, and 2 spare kits for continuous recording in one party or event.I did not test to many photos to tell how many photos you can take it before the battery goes down, because the main purpose for my camera is making HS videos and that part use a lot of baterry.

I use the camera for general scenic photography, after deciding that I needed a traditional viewfinder instead of relying on rear-panel LCD screens only. I got this camera because a previous Casio point-and-shoot I have is one of the best cameras I've ever owned for basic day-to-day snapshots, so I figured Casio knows what they're doing. I also have to admit, I was drawn to the slow-motion features, just for the cool, fun factor.Well, this camera does not disappoint. It offers all the features one might need, and the slow-mo footage is nothing short of incredible. Great fun for your own Mythbuster-style moments.Normal photos are outstanding, and the camera seems to handle low-light situations with ease. The generous zoom range is welcome for many scenic framing situations, and the choice of using the video viewfinder or the huge LCD screen offers convenience and flexibility for varying circumstances. The wide-angle end is plenty-wide and just right for most travel and scenic requirements. The camera feels good and solid in hand, and has easy gripping surfaces without feeling like you're about to press the wrong buttons by mistake. Since it uses traditional AA cells, you have no worries about premature death of specialized lithium batteries that are hard to find when needed. NiMH cells work well, and the camera seems to go easy on them. All in all, I love this camera, and can tell that I will have it in the photographic arsenal for some time to come. It's very flexible for my needs and offers some just-plain-fun features at an attractive price.

I bought 5 - EX-FH25's to video golf swings from 5 views simultaneously, using its high speed video features, for the development of instructional materials. Though I have used camcorders and computers in golf instruction for over ten years as you read this review its important to remember I am a professional golf instructor NOT A VIDEO PROFESSIONAL, though at times the Casio EX-FH25 makes me feel like one. These cameras are user friendly. The PDF Owners Manual supplied on CD isn't perfect but its every bit as good, if not better, than those supplied with the Panasonic and Canon camcorders I have owned over the years. The high speed video capability is everything Casio claims it to be. The quality of the photos as well as the High Definition and Standard Definition videos it captures were an unexpected bonus. The 20X optical zoom is great for sporting events, even when hand held. This camera also works surprisingly well in low light situations in High Definition video. For High Speed video you will need decent light but it does work reasonably well on overcast days. These cameras were my first experience working with video captured on anything other than tape. Its the only way to go. Though I enjoyed working with my Canon HV30's tape is simply allot more time consuming and expensive.I choose the FH25 over the FH100 for its superior shutter speed and optical zoom. The FH100's quickest shutter speed is 1/2000 while the FH25 goes to 1/40,000! To eliminate the blur of a golf clubhead and get an accurate picture of how much a golf shaft bends you will need a shutter of 1/5000 or even quicker. I would highly recommend the Casio EX-FH25 to anyone interested in capturing and studying sports action especially the golf swing and B&H Photo Video as the source to buy them. B&H is simply the best on line company I have ever worked with.

This little camera is well worth the money. The 40fps produces clean sharp images. The single shot images are very close to DSLR quality, the sony back illuminated sensor must play a role in the quality of the images. The zoom range is excellent and does a good job for me on wildlife shoots. A great and very usable feature is the HS flash mode which can shoot up to five frames per second, an excellent camera for candid shooting because of this.

I bought this camera for low-light concert photos. Used Fujifilms in the past. This camera exceeds in low light situations. The Zoom lens is high quality and the high speed shooting (CMOS sensor) gives you dSLR like capability. This camera is fast and responsive. You can coax high quality zoomed in images in the Manual mode by setting your own aperture and shutter speed combinations. The Sony EXMOR CMOS sensor when mated to the high speed imaging engine of the CASIO produces amazing results. Don't overlook this camera just because Canon and Nikon have huge advertising budgets. It simply works as advertised and gives you clear sharp well-defined images under challenging low light situations.

Before I purchaced this camera I Couldn't decide between a DSLR and a point-and-shoot. I ended up choosing this camera because of it's high speed functions and HD video. My friend and I make videos and after using the EX-FH25 he went out and bought his own. There are just a few things you should know...High Speed Video! 120fps-640x480 240fps-448x336 420fps-224x168 1000fps-224x64unfortunately as you increase the speed of your video you need alot more light on your subject, and as you can see the camera drops quality for speed. This camera takes great stills and gives you manual control over the aperture, exposure and shutter speedit also has a 1-40fps burst but can only save 30 pictures at onceOne last thing is that it shoots great HD vids but i have had problems with the camera going out of focus while shooting. I'm not sure what causes this. You can half press the shutter to re-focus the camera.

I would sugest to the manufacturer to add such features like: Automatic flash opening, The lens cover should go away when power is on like on Sony HX1.Otherwise the camera is perfect. The best of all features are high speed movie and high speed snapshots with a crispy sharp focus and colors.

I bought the EX-FH25 for the single feature of taking high speed video. I'd been hunting for quite some time in search of a camera that could bring slow motion to the consumer level, and this camera is unquestionably it. The FH25 doesn't just fill a niche, it has created its own. I put this camera squarely in the category of a toy, but for how much I've enjoyed playing with it, it's a toy that I would recommend to anyone that knows how to work a digital camera. If you want to have fun breathing new life into video, then this camera is for you.Since I've received my FH25, I've found myself recording everything that I'd already recorded many times before. It's difficult to get across the extra dimensions that slow motion video adds to a scene. I'm certain we've all seen it in movies and TV shows where the beautiful woman walks onto the screen in slow motion because of the extra drama that it adds. (I've heard this called "And then she walked into the room.") Or when moments of action are slowed down toexpose all the extra details that would otherwise be lost. Imagine being able to do that with every video you record. It brings with it a novelty that I've never had access to before, and something you just can't achieve by slowing down a 30fps video.I freely admit that I don't use this camera for pictures, but I didn't buy it for that. The pictures I have taken are a bit noisy, but whenI want to take vivid photographs I haul out my DSLR. Keep in mind that you're still holding a 10MP camera, and there are many fun features around still pictures that make action shots incredibly easy to get right. I've yet to get to those because the video features are endlessly entertaining. The FH25 is loads of fun. The videos I've shown to friends have all been accompanied by laughs and immediate ideas of more things to record. What I'm desperately hoping is that this series of cameras is just the beginning of a trend(a trend that results in better and faster video in the near future), because right now there's nothing else like it.

This is my first advanced camera, and I would consider myself a novice, casual photographer. I got it mainly for the high speed video capabilities, which are unique for cameras in this price range. I plan on using it for motorsports video/high speed shots, and action nature photography. The high speed burst modes and high speed video are really powerful, letting you get great action shots.I'm still playing with the various settings, but so far this camera has impressed me, and I can't wait to use it in more action related modes.I don't have anything to compare it to as far as an advanced camera or DSLR, but it seems to be a competent, well built camera.
