Ibanez Sr300 Electric Bass Guitar

I've been playing guitar for 30+ years at many different levels and have owned well over 50 guitars. Of all these guitars, I've only found it necessary to designate three as "keepers"; A Les Paul Custom, an American Strat and now this Ibanez AF105NT. This guitar was set up very close right out of the box. There was a little fret buzz which was easily taken care of, but most importantly I found the intonation was SPOT ON up and down the fretboard. Very impressive. This guitar is versatile enough to cover everything from The Beatles to Tom Petty and many artists in between. I've even used it to simulate Ted Nugent's "Hey Baby".There isn't anyone out there making a guitar of this quality, in this price range.

Just got mine [...]. Wasn't planned but I noticed the AF105 in the last catalog and thought it looked nice. After seeing it in real life, I had to play it. Unfortunately it plays and sounds even sweeter than it looks so I had to buy. The last addition to my collection before this was an Artcore AM73. This was added to a collection of several gibsons, Fenders(american), PRS, older Ibanezes and others. DANG how do they make um so good soooo cheap??? Worth evry penny and every mile.

A really fun guitar to play. I have enjoyed it since the day I picked it up. I have always owned acoustic guitars for the warm tones, and finally found an electric that is much more versital without loosing the warmth of the acoustic.

Throw some Gibson '57 classics or some Bartolini vintage Jazz nickle covered humbuckers (if you can find some) and this thing will sound like a vintage jazz diamond without spending $20,000. Stock pickups are ok, but all you need to do to hot rod this think is swap pickups, which is easy to do, and maybe replace the plastic nut with a bone nut for a little more sustain, tone. Flawless fit and finish and fret work is great, intonation is good. I recommend anyone into Jazz or clean tones. This makes a nice jazz box.

i have this bass for 3 mos. now since im with ibanez ever since. I got a gsr200 way back 5 yrs ago and still works great but this axe nothing to ask for more.the sweeper eq.really kicks even without those effect its on board sweeper eq. makes a big diff.especially the slapping mode and fingering attack on this bass, once you start to play with it no way to put it down.the lightweight is a big factor especially playing hrs of carrying this thing just nothing happens.Highly recommended for pro and for beginners there is a saying that its better to start with the great once and this is it.

I love this bass so much! It is so great with distorion and its feel is awsome. I am a beginner and this bass helped me so much because it was lightweight with a thin neck. Another thing is if I am in a funk mood I can turn one of the knobs to slapping and if I am in a metal mood I can turn it back to fingering. AWSOME BASS!!!

Well, this is my first and the only bass that I have now,it sounds pretty incredible for the price, and this instrument is pretty versatile, the pickup balancer and the mid-range eq really helped a lot, and so do te treble and bass knobs. It really worked well with bright and slinky strings. I used an Ernie Ball Super Slinky 5(I chucked the thinnest string), you need to lower the truss rod to eliminate the fret buzz. It sounds good, but, the stock pickup can get pretty sterile after sometimes, especially on the low B and the low E, I'm now looking for a replacement p.u. And I played mostly with picks, and sometimes with slap and finger, and this bass can handle it pretty well

this bass guitar is AWESOME!! I have had this guitar since the beginning of June to play in drop D, the pickup quality is great. but the bridge is a little annoying because every so often the screws get a little low and you have to raise or lower them to either take out a ringing noise or the string is scratching the back pickup. All and all, it's a great bass, great with distortion, I would recommend it to a person that is just starting out

This thing is amazing. In my opinion it sounds better than my friends 800 dollar fender jazz bass. The EQ is great, and this bass especially shines for slapping and popping. It has an amazing sound, especially for the low price. If you're looking for a new bass at a low price, GET THIS!
