It is a great HD camera for this price! Though at night time, it gets grainy - that's why i had a 4 star... it has clear video... You can also use it to record videos for yourself and click a few snaps.... Also have some fun with funny faces on the camera... Overall great!

The picture quality of this item is great. The HD-5000 sharp focus is excellent (720p). My computer came with Windows 7 x 64 bit and Wihndows 7 x 32 bit; therefore I have no problem concerning the software that other people may find.If you are using Windows Live Messenger, Yahho Messenger, Skype, etc, take into considetation this product. Of course, with extra money you can purchase a more advance LifeCam.With my Windows XP I was using QuickCam Logitech, but it incompatible with Windows 7. I am satisfy with this product.

Installation is easy and you get a lot of capability for the price. The only flaw is the autofocus - the image blurred a lot (due to fast motion, such as moving a hand) and it took about a second or two to refocus. Shortly after installing, a pop-up window informed me of a firmware update. Autofocus was better (not as sensitive and a little faster) after the update. All in all, a great webcam for the price.

The part that clips onto the computer is flexible and can also be curled to stand on its own. It won't fit onto my monitor so I have it standing on its base. It will clip easily onto my laptop at the top of the monitor. It doesn't swivel to either side as much as some cameras that swivel 180 degrees, but I don't find that a problem. The minor adjustments you can make are adequate.

I installed this camera on my granddaughter's computer to replace an old blurry webcam. Setup took about five minutes, as easy as it could be. Her computer, running XP, has enough video and processor capacity to handle the high resolution possible with this webcam. My granddaughter's reaction: " Wow! That's much clearer than my old one."[...]

All in all ,this is the best HD webcam, with quality features for personal use at a best price. Very satisfied with its performance. Auto focus is bit annoying, coz it keeps changing the focus now and then ..which is not needed..
