I bought this dress as a special treat for myself. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews about it being clingy because I am a little overweight, but I loved the style and color so I decided to take a chance. IT IS AWESOME! It does fit close to the body (clings somewhat), so if you are worried about that you may want to pick a different dress. It is beautiful and I can't wait to wear it! I am so happy that I bought it!

This dress is very flattering and oh, so comfortable! Fits a little bit on the slim side, so if you're in between sizes, I recommend you go with the larger size.

Love the dress, loved the price and shipping!

Was bought for me by my husband as a surprise for a special evening out. Let's just say I was very pleased with the choice. It was perfect fit..true to sizing of my other clothing..I said it felt comfortable and he thought it looked fantastic. This could be my new "little black dress", and a wonderful traveling dress. I am not one for much cleavage normally, but this shows the perfect amount, without feeling like I have laid them out for everyone. As for the fabric, I pulled out of the box, left on hanger for a few days and it was wrinkle-free and ready to wear.

I was initially concerned that this dress would be too small for me, as I'm usually an XL in pretty much every brand, and my past experiences with Patagonia have shown that their clothes run on the small side. However, I was pleasantly surprised when this dress arrived. The fabric is a dream - it's formfitting, but doesn't show flaws as much as a lot of the jersey-type dresses do. The wider sleeves balance you out, especially if you're hippy, like me. And this dress makes my hourglass figure rock! I'm planning on taking this to Europe in my backpack over summer, and it seems to withstand being crumpled in a ball pretty well. It also works well as a bathing suit cover up, as the fabric dries really fast. I only wish it was a little shorter - I'm 5'8", and it hits me mid-calf. Just below knee length would be nice. I would imagine on a shorter girl, it would be ankle-length. I do recommend this, though! It's sexy and comfortable!

I am 5'5", skinny but bottom heavy. The size S fits perfectly. The gathered front flatters a flatter chest (32B here), and low cut without flapping open; does require a lower cut bra. The waist is snug, yes, but not tight, though it's looser in the front somehow to not show everything I eat. The A-line skirt opens up high enough to avoid molding around saddlebags and lumpy bottoms. Like most of the reviewers, I wish it was a little shorter, but it's such a flattering shape overall that it's not frumpy at this length -- might be if you go up too many sizes and it's too loose overall. Having wider shoulder straps than tank dresses keeps slim fit and low cut front from looking cheap. What I DON'T like about it is that because of the swimsuit-y fabric, the seaming in front just makes it look casual, and it's a bit stiffer than you might expect from a jersey -- but that helps keep it from clinging to lumps and bumps. Despite the sexy fit, my husband is not a fan of this dress because of the way the fabric and seams work out.Not sure what one of the reviewers is talking about re: hidden pocket. Maybe it's so hidden I just can't find it?

I tried the dress on when it arrived and was disappointed. The design and color (I ordered Northern Light) are beautiful and the dress is surely comfortable, but: it is very tight (like a swimsuit fit), and everything you wear underneath shows in lines. You could wear it without bra as it provides light support, but even so, I would say that this dress is only wearable in regions/countries where "no bra" is accepted.

Definitely ordering another one in a different color. I've dressed this up with fancy accessories, dressed it down for a day of errands, wore it to work (with a camisole for modesty-I'm a teacher), and even worn it for several days of sightseeing and trekking around a big city. The Northern Light Blue is a great color for fair complexions like mine. Super comfortable fabric that never looses it's shape. The hem hits me about an inch below the knee (I am 5' 11"). If you're struggling with sizing, I would order a size up. I am smaller on top than on bottom and the top fit me snuggly (won't shift to reveal anything) while the bottom left plenty of room for my hips and bum. I love the way it makes my chest look! Sexy in a classy way.

I bought this dress as a travel dress and it is perfect for that BUT it's soooo comfortable and has such a nice look that I've worn in to work and out to dinner. I could live in this dress.

This dress looks and feels great. The wide shoulder straps are great for those with large busts (36d). It is light-weight and can be worn with flip-flops for day or heels and jewelery for evening. I've worn it grocery shopping and out to a nice restaurant - it was great for a trip to Hawaii, too. The only draw back is that it clings to my undergarments. The fit feels great, and unlike most stretchy fabrics it is actually forgiving to body imperfections, but the outline of my bra is clear in the back, which kinda bugs me. I have a reddish color, so maybe it wouldn't be as noticeable in a darker shade.

This dress is super comfortable with a flattering bodice that creates a nice empire waist without the tightness throughout the chest. Wear after surfing for fish tacos or dress it up for the outdoor wedding. A must have for any woman's wardrobe. I love this dress! Patagonia just knows how to make clothing.

I usually aim for low-cost items, and the price tag on this dress intimidated me. However, I liked how the dress looked on the hanger, and when I put it on...magic. I'm 5'3 with an hour glass figure, and don't like how most dresses look on me. This makes my waist look especially tiny and the rest of me look amazing. I also LOVE the fabric and I didn't think it would. It really is wicking and while it's got a good weight to it, actually FEELS weightless when you have it on. Austin is in the middle of record temps (60+ days over 100 degrees) and I can use whatever edge I can get! I'm wearing this to 2 outdoor weddings this fall with nice shoes, etc...but I can toss on some flip flops and go run errands in it to. This dress is literally worth every penny.

I've worn this dress with a pretty wrap and heels to a gala, and with flip-flops to the grocery. I babied my first one, thinking it might snag--nope, after a year, it's beautiful. Compliments galore! I think a light color would show panty lines, but the dark ones don't, especially with a slip. The bodice is form-fitting; it broadens shoulders and emphasizes curves without revealing too much, while the skirt swings. So versatile it's crazy! Throw it in the washer, stuff it in the suitcase. I love the longer length (mid-calf on me, at 5'7"). I usually prefer natural fabrics, and this dress isn't, but it's so fabulous, I don't care! It's even comfortable in humid Houston summer weather.
