Tony Kubek spent his entire nine-year baseball career with the New York Yankees. He played 1092 games 882 of them at shortstop. Along the way he was part of seven AL pennant winners (1957-58 1960-64) and three World Champions (1958 1961-1962). After his days on the field ended Kubek took to the broadcast booth and became a respected color commentator who teamed with such play-by-play men as Curt Gowdy Jim Simpson Bob Costas and Joe Garagiola.
